This is possibly the best representation of "current times". Farenheit 451, edited by people who wanted to update it for "modern times", which is literally what the book is about. Cancel culture, written in 1953, this publisher trying to edit it in the late 60s or 70s...
Yeah Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury concerned the activities of a "Fireman" whose role was to set aflame books and literature condemned by the state for whatever reason, it was a bold concept however Bradbury's forte was the short story, and after a reasonably vivid start the tome degenerated to political soap opera a la "Days of Our Lives" .. that is how I remember it in any case hi ho.
