Fresh fruit and vegetables are being rationed at two of Britain's biggest supermarkets after poor foreign harvests and a domestic farming crisis led to shortages expected to last for weeks.

This shouldnt be happening at all and it is absolute bullshit and when they start doing this in the states I expect a full meltdown from the public but seeing as we didnt do shit about vax or max or when they put limits on baby formula on everyone but people on wic Im not getting my hopes up.

I would like to take this moment though to say something to all the blow hards who said growing tomatoes wasn't worth the cost.

In your face.

Growing tomatoes is always worth the cost. The taste of store-bought tomatoes is horrible; they're bland, they have no tang or bite, there's no intensity of flavor, and they're never sweet. The taste of home grown tomatoes is the polar opposite, and there's nothing in the world that matches the incredible flavor of tomatoes directly from one's garden.

Got any tutorials?

how to grow tomatoes

Or search that phrase. You'll need to decide if you're growing in the ground or in pots, growing determinate (stops at certain size) or indeterminate (grows until frost) plants, which varieties could work for your situation, and growing from seed or starter plants.

Good luck

Beat me to it. Growing tomatoes is a favorite for beginners because they tend to be hearty and robust and reasonable effort will yield a good crop. They're not very picky plants, and if one just follows a few basic guidelines on time of year, soil, watering, sun, etc., it can be rewarding.

You do need to have space for them, and should probably opt for things you can't get at the farmers market if space is tight. That said, I grew mine in a small tree when all the other sunlight was claimed.

Anglos are the most domesticated Europeans. They’ll accept this.

Does anyone doubt that societal collapse is underway?
Who knows how many years it will take but like ussr or Rome. The end will happen in a single day

A few months ago I bought 12 boxes of Hamborger Halper on Amazon. A few minutes ago, I tried to reorder, and the 'algo' limited me to 5. WTF, bros?

[ - ] Gowithit 0 points 2.2 yearsFeb 22, 2023 15:20:00 ago (+0/-0)

2 pk on Amazon ( just looked) 2.48

Dollar tree has the 2pk for 1.25

[ - ] Anus_Expander 0 points 2.2 yearsFeb 22, 2023 15:26:55 ago (+0/-0)

yes, the twin pack is what I ordered last time, 12 of them. Now I can only get 5.

Suprised it isnt meat first.

Vegetables are a fucking waste of time, because not only are they completely watered down just to look better, chances are you're getting a nice dose of chemicals with them as well.

it has gotten more expensive to buy. but that's their idea to make it prohibitive so that the people would go for the cheaper bugs
