Cormac McCarthy

submitted by Irelandlost to books 1.2 yearsFeb 21, 2023 05:08:23 ago (+10/-0)     (books)

Been a big fan of McCarthy’s for years, and Blood Meridian is one of my favourite books of all time, so I’d been eagerly awaiting the release of his recently published two books, his first in 18 years. Recently finished the passenger and for reasons I couldn’t figure out Bobby had a tranny friend in that who was presented as the epitome of femininity. I’ve only started Stella Maris but already Alice, the child genius, has decried the inherent racism of IQ tests.

McCarthy is an 89 year old man who previously wrote dispassionately about large scale slaughters of injuns and child rape/murder in Blood Meridian, and similarly dispassionately about an outcast serial killer of women in Child of God, but even he has succumbed to this nonsense. Seems nothing is immune to this mind virus sometimes.

Old people get soft. Old successful artists doubly so.

These days it's probably compulsory to add a tranny or a high IQ compassionate black (or both) in your novel. Otherwise you'll get a rejection slip, no matter how venerable you are.

it's probably compulsory

No probably about it. It's been leaked, admitted to, forced in all contracts, via government regulation, etc etc.

That could be an excuse if he was some up and coming author that had to play ball. But this is a highly successful writer who has been publishing for over half century, has had a number of his works adapted in to major movies, and has a net worth of 10s of millions. On top of his wealth he enjoys very strong name recognition and has a large and loyal fan base. This is not a man who needs to bend to publisher demands; indeed this is not man that even needs a publisher if he doesn’t want one. And it’s not like he’s trying to make a few quid for possibly harder days ahead considering he’s not long for this world anyway. I see no valid excuse for this from McCarthy, although I would be sympathetic to such excuses for many other authors.

It's insane. You would think an older white man who was obviously normal would write the truth at an older age. Maybe they fucking ghost wrote it for him and did a money grab attaching his name? For his soul I hope that's what happend

I think he did "the road", which is an awesome read and pretty good movie.

Something to consider is the power that the (((publisher))) and editor have. They can make a lot of suggestions or demands on an author. Books are rewritten numerous times before publication, which gives kikes numerous opportunities to insert their dogma. Jews control all forms of media for a reason.

No amount of money should sway a soul's integrity

I agree with your sentiment, but we know that the majority sell their souls everyday for money. But that’s not the point I was making. Did all authors suddenly become woke, or did Jewish publishing houses insert their ideology into the work of authors on their payroll? With or without the khazar milkers..

Love that passage. And it brings the whole book into a new light too. It can be quite easily argued that the Judge is the personification of war itself, so in declaring “war is God” is he saying that he himself is God? But when we first meet the Judge he uses his genius to give to the men gunpowder, reminiscent of the gift bestowed on man by Satan in Milton’s Paradise Lost. So is the Judge’s cryptic claim of his own godliness merely Satan up to his old tricks, or is Satan truly the God of the land on which the men stand when he makes his claim?

Really love that book! No trannies or anything in it, classic McCarthy.

That exact passage is my daily listen.
