Any one getting Nikki Haley confused with Tulsi Gabbard?

Yesterday I was having a conversation with a friend and I asked him what he thought about the emerging GOP 2024 presidential candidates. I asked him if he thought DeSantis or Haley posed any real challenge for Trump. His response was confusing at first:

I can't believe anyone is taking Nikki Haley seriously as a GOP candidate. I mean she was a Democrat up until last fall when she left the party. I can't believe anyone can see her as anything other than a RINO

So after a few moments of confused conversation it became clear that my friend was confusing Nikki Haley with Tulsi Gabbard. Once I thought about it I realized that these two figures are nearly clones of each other in terms of their politics, policies, background, military career and even their physical appearance. If you ignore the (D) or (R) next to their names and you ignore that one is from Hawaii and on from South Carolina, these two have massive similarities as candidates. I think this can be used to advantage. Nikki Haley is clearly a poison pill designed to split the GOP base and pull votes away from Trump. Can we conflate Nikki Haley together with Tulsi Gabbard and make it go viral to poison the well?
