Read a story about "Church of England considereing gender-neutral God" and it reminded me of a joke...

Went to pick up my six-year-old son after Church school and he looked rather troubled. "What's up sport? Anything wrong?"

He looked over at me and hesitantly asked, "is God a man or a woman?"

Well now. Where did this line of thought come from? "We think of God as a man, but no one can look upon His image. He's God though, the master of creation, and if He wanted to be a women He could be. She. Whatever. So God could be either."

He frowned a bit and looked down, clearly thinking. I could visualize the wheels spinning in his head. He looked back up. "Is God black, or is God white?" Wow.

"It's the same thing, we really don't know, he could be either."

He looked down again, and the wheels in his head spun faster and faster. He frowned more and then his eyes widened with an epiphany and he exclaimed an "oh" in realization. He looked up at me and asked, "is Michael Jackson God?"

serious discussion, is god a man, or is she a woman? In the middle ages they faced another serious problem: how many angels can sit on the tip of a needle? It seems to me that the Churches have not made much progress after all these centuries

The greatest argument that God is a man is that man was created in God's image, and woman was an afterthought made from the first man's rib. But there doesn't seem to be a reason for Him to be a sexual Being, He doesn't have a wife. Considering that you can't even look upon God without dying argues that He is beyond our comprehension, much less having an innie or an outtie.

I'm going to kidnap and marry women until they give me a son, if they fail to give me a son I will imprison them for life or kill them so that I could have another wife who might give me a son.
