I'm hoping it will make walking a bit easier. Sometimes I need to walk to places and using the bike is too much hassle e.g. picking the car up after a service. Need to take the bike carrier.

No. Scooters are very in but they tend to be e-scooters. I just want something that will get me to places more quickly when I have to walk. I'd normally take the bike but if I'm picking up the car it means taking the bike carrier which is a lot of messing about.

Yes, I'm worried about that too. I'd imagine a bike is far more manoeuvrable. But I'm not going to do anything heroic like pelting downhills. It's just going to help me get from A to B more quickly than walking when I can't take the bike/car.
