Famously there are statistics that show the opposite (that blacks get more time) but that's because those stats fail to consider aggravating factors for sentencing like priors or visibly not giving a damn in court.

They may get more time but they spend less of it in lockup.

That's violent crime. They don't do 50% of the crime. There are white guys in jail for DUI, or getting in a fight when it was reasonable but the story of how it started was clearer from the other side.
