Aside from the graduating from Harvard at 15 or whatever, his philosophical/political thinking seems to follow the trajectory of a pretty ordinary teenage boy. One day, he's a socialist; the next perfecting libertarianism. In his early teens he swears off marriage and family; a few years later he's infatuated with a woman. Sounds like he wanted nothing so much as to be left alone with his books and his friends.

Chess isn't an IQ test, though being competitively good at it may signal intelligence. It is a skill that can be, and in fact must be, learned. What I'm saying is you can absolutely raise your children to be good chess players.
