Not him, but Henry; it's not even close. They're just a smoother action, production QC is consistently top notch, they have a wider variety of finishes and calibers, sidegate models are now available (while retaining the tube system), and the owner himself often directly helps customers with problems or service. You really can't beat all that.

I do have high hopes for the future of Marlin now that they're back in good hands. Their older ones are still fantastic rifles.
