Not if you do it through fertilization doctor. If you get insemination done by fertilization doctor the law says you are not responsible for any of the children. If you do like that young kid did who volunteered to give a sperm to anybody who wanted to have it and he slept with them all just so they could have babies even though they had their own agreement that he would not be responsible in the state can come along and declare the father responsible for any welfare that the baby Mama's had and in his case they had some. But the ruling was if the kid had used a doctor and the women had chosen his sperm through a doctor then he would not have been liable for any cost.
Depends on state/country. There've been articles here and there detailing courts deciding that a man who's donated and been tracked down is responsible for the child and therefore on the hook for it.

I'm sorry about your friends. I have some family that's the same way. They knew instinctively that it was bad news but got it eventually after being worn down by others. Very sad and disheartening to watch. I lost respect for a lot of people I love.
I have found that bringing up the vax discussion is usually not a crowd pleaser. In hindsight, I think it best to avoid the discussion. It involves telling them that they fucked up, and yes, that will bring on some possibly unwanted anger and resentment from those who got vaxxed.
An even better crowd displeaser is to point out the ludicrous level of overpopulation. It's like everyone hears "you should die", when it's actually only 9 out of 10 of them.
