I come from a very culinary family, from both sides. It's awesome. Difference is we also come from a poor country. We are well off compared to most but still, we would have done something as good if not better for a fraction of the price. The guy is just spending hundreds of dollars for a meal.

In my opinion, often in life, paying more does not equate getting something better.

As a matter of fact, this Sunday I will eat one of my favorite foods. It's made from cow heart.

Used to be fed to prisoners cause it was a cheap scavenger that was easy to catch. The times have definitely changed.

That said, I like most food, but lobster ain’t exactly a go-to seafood for me. I’ll eat crab and shrimp long before turning to lobster.

Im just now having to start learning how to cook like that too. Man all those years .. now I understand when all those women used to say I had it easy with just a husband and one child to feed. I needed larger pans, sheets and pots. That was the trick. I still have trouble having everything layed out and ready because you are so right on needing a larger kitchen but ah ha I have an older child to get things out so we make do.

I had a temp job at a hunting / nature preserve type place and part of my job was cooking breakfast and lunch for the work crews. I had a full commercial kitchen at my disposal and it was so much fun. Two huge ovens, eight burners, a big two-basket deep fryer, all kinds of counter space.
