That was extremely difficult to watch. It's cruel. It was avoidable, just mixed emotions. She probably encouraged others to follow her...

This is sick.

There is no confirmation that any of the covid vaccines or boosters are responsible. According to her GoFundMe page, she had a reaction to a prescription medicine and has Steven Johnson's Syndrome.

yeah I don't buy this diagnosis.

And just like the covidiots blamed every sniffle or cough on covid, the anti-vaxidiots now blame every ailment on the vaccines.

[ - ] Nozyedys 14 points 1.6 yearsSep 29, 2022 19:41:43 ago (+14/-0)

now blame every ailment on the vaccines.

False.

We predicted this would happen before the issues became a reality. Hence why most people here are not vaccinated. You make it sound like we are placing blame in hindsight, which is not true.

[ - ] CHIRO 7 points 1.6 yearsSep 30, 2022 00:14:19 ago (+7/-0)

I see your point, but you need to learn the difference between a posteriori claims and a priori claims. Prior to the widespread distribution of the vaccine, people made a priori claims about what the effects would be. You make it sound as if people with a negative disposition toward the Covid vaccine began cherry-picking this evidence after the fact, looking for something to confirm their bias.

The people who were skeptical were predicting these outcomes. There's a difference. Granted, idiots are likely to over-extend themselves here. No, a 400-lb person dropping dead from a heart attack shouldn't cause suspicion of the vaccine, at least on a first gloss.

But in her case, there's a systemic immune response happening which can be triggered by drugs and/or infections. Claims made prior to the vaccine launch make it perfectly reasonable to suspect this, especially since we don't have an identification of the supposed drug that triggered the response.

This is also possible to take as evidence precisely because of the dramatic rise in other immune conditions and cardiovascular conditions happening in young people.

Maybe it is a bit irresponsible of the OP to state this was vaccine related without issuing any kind of caveat (letting us know there is some doubt that the vaccine was a direct cause).

A+ for this response. Regrettably, I worded my original statement in a condescending way. Apologies.

The problem is that we suspected the medical and political community weren't being honest with regards to covid infections and deaths precisely because they said everyone was dying of covid.

Eg;
`Motorcycle accident death? Covid.`
`Death by gunshot? Covid. `
`90 year old cancer patient dying in his sleep? Covid.`
`40 year old 400lb diabetic dying of a heart attack? Covid.`

What this did for those skeptical of the dangers of covid was to confirm our bias, and made us less concerned about covid. Doing the opposite, and saying everything is vaccine related when it isn't, will make those skeptical of the dangers of the vaccine less concerned about the vaccines. Provide enough false examples and we become a laughing stock while the vaccine uptake continues to rise.

Remember, we don't have a multi-billion dollar media industry to defend us when we make mistakes. No, it's quite the opposite; they will make a laughing stock of vaccine skeptics, especially if we overextend.

We have enough examples of provable vaccine injuries that we shouldn't assume every new ailment is vaccine related without some evidence that a vaccine/booster has been administered.

[ - ] CHIRO 1 point 1.6 yearsSep 30, 2022 09:38:44 ago (+1/-0)

I agree with this. So I guess the particular point I was defending was something like: it was not unreasonable to suspect vaccine-relatedness in this case of a young person with Stevens-Johnson syndrome. To your point, it is unwise if we state our suspicions like they are matters of fact. Your point wasn't so much that it is impossible or unlikely for our suspicion to be true, but that we need to be cautious/responsible about how we handle the public image of our theory. That seems right to me.

I think this also changes based on the symptomology. There hasn't been an established connection (at least not a very public one) between this particular syndrome and the Covid vaccine. By contrast, cases of myocarditis do have that kind of public-facing association now. So it would be different to 'jump' to a conclusion more quickly if the girl had myocarditis, versus Stevens-Johnson.

We shouldn't be trying to expand the circle of known diseases with connections to the Covid vaccine without very good reason, since the more we 'inflate our balloon' the higher in the sky it gets, and the less likely people are to be convinced by it - ala, more extraordinary claims require more extraordinary evidence.

She just happened to start taking a prescription medicine around the time of the vaccine?

[ - ] UrCoolerOlderBrother 0 points 1.6 yearsSep 29, 2022 22:33:56 ago (+0/-0)

That is 100% what she has. I've known someone that had that before as a result of taking antibiotics. It is a rare reaction but that is definitely what she has. It causes blisters all over your body.

[ - ] observation1 1 point 1.6 yearsSep 29, 2022 22:21:15 ago (+1/-0)

Have they searched VAERS for Stephen Johnsons Syndrome?

I just did.

150 results from doctors who took time to report it and from those who identified it as Steven Johnsons. Certainly more if using a more broad search by symptoms instead of the (narrow) diagnosis.

I have no doubt SJS can be exascerbated by the vaccine, but we have nothing that proves this girl has been vaccinated, and SJS existed prior to the MRNA vaccines so it's not exclusive to the covid vaccinated.

There are enough provable cases of vaccine injuries that we don't need to assume every new illness is vaccine-related.

[ - ] observation1 0 points 1.6 yearsSep 30, 2022 10:09:51 ago (+0/-0)

We don't need to pretend its not related, either.

[ - ] goat777 0 points 1.6 yearsSep 30, 2022 16:56:40 ago (+0/-0)

Yeah and Justin Bieber's lopsided face is due to genetics, definitely NOT THE VACCINE which caused the same thing to happen to other people. Nope. Just a coincidence, safe and effective.

Get boosted.

Looks like stevens johnson syndrome, an autoimmune reaction.

Poor girl. Looks like she did this just this month. Probably the bivalent.

I bet some college made her take this to enroll.

I'm callously indifferent to the state of misery that this woman is in...willful ignorance or inculcated compliance?...either way her predicament is the result of widespread herd mentality, orders given orders followed.

I'm less interested in them covering this story which would be said to be "rare" and instead focused on the unending horror show that has been VAERS for over a year now. It's easily the biggest story.

More than Ukraine which NATO has no business being a part of and they aren't covering properly either, or the stolen election. Millions of people have died because of the pharmaceutical industry.

I am not at all for the vax, but that is Stevens-Johnson syndrome. It is a reaction to medication. It can happen as a reaction to all types of meds. I know someone who had this happen because of antibiotics. It seems very painful and just miserable all around.

She was diagnosed with Steven Johnson’s syndrome. A very rare reaction that was caused by a medication she was prescribed.
