For the most part, enough people here still go on reddit because, truth be told, it has the userbase to have constant content whether new or reposts.

However, as vast as the internet is, most of the content is not unique.

On top of it, the vast number of users on reddit means that it generally gets certain types of news, articles, etc. faster than most other sites.

So, generally, reposting from reddit to here without getting a fuckton of shit about it is going to fall into three areas:

1. How stupid reddit is.
2. Important anything that funnels through reddit - and, critically, this can also include any well done summaries or analyses a reddit user might have submitted. After all, there's no point in reinventing the wheel when someone else has done it right already.
3. Direct content. Do NOT submit content that is a direct reddit-hosted image, video, etc. Those pieces of content are not only tied to the reddit user's account and will disappear if the user deletes it or their account is nuke but they also come with all of the tracker bullshit reddit bakes into everything. We don't want reddit site metrics picking up on our shit here. This is not OG voat where it can withstand reddit or 4chan invasions and send them packing without us even noticing.

I wish we had some of their gardening and homesteading content. Losing that is a worthy sacrifice to support free speech, even in the context of gardening. I mean, what if you need the best variety of cotton, for a cotton-picking-nigger?

I think some of the non political subs are nice, especially when you're looking up info on cookware, health stuff or electronic parts, etc.
