They sent four of these aircraft to bomb the Ludendorff bridge at Remagen. US forces had captured it and were streaming across the bridge into Germany. The German army needed to plug this hole. They all missed, and were shot down by American P-51 Mustangs and British Typhoons. All four were lost. The Germans didn’t have enough time to develop strategies for this aircraft. It had potential.
