If I were to participate in a knife fight, I might as well participate in a duel. like they did in the 1800s with hand muskets.

It's not like the movies where you can cleanly disarm someone. Unless you've been fighting with knives your whole life, and even if you have, almost no one comes out without a stab wound. Seen enough knife fights to know.
