The problem with this is Niger doesn’t record its covid cases. Its not like you can just go to a chemists in Niger and get a test and it gets rolled up in to a daily covid cases data point. They are fuckin Niger. So who knows how many covid cases they had? It doesnt matter in that place anyway since there’s nobody over 65.

Yeah, the only way that we in the West can "tell" the difference between COVID vs. the flu or pneumonia is to run a sample through an over-cycled polymerase chain reaction or similar DNA test. The Nigerians should at least be roughly able to count sick bodies, though. It'd be interesting to compare hospitalizations and deaths in standard deviations against e.g., a ten year average from both countries. In addition to showing how counter-effective (as sold) the arm rape was, I'd also expect to find some data showing how excessive testing fueled paranoia in a downward spiral.

They've been manipulating data down here as well. If you break your ankle, go to hospital and happen to test positive, you're a covid case.

Same with deaths.

Our data isn't to be trusted either. And I personally have never known so many sick people, all at once, in my life.

I don’t disagree that Australia had more covid deaths and that the vax didnt do anything to lessen the pandemic, if thats what you are thinking.

But Australia has a much older population. And there is FAR more global travel in and out of australian major cities. So there are more opportunities to spread covid and more people susceptible to in in Australia than Niger. Of course some people may have died from the vaccine and been categorized as a covid death in Aus. Or some people may have had increased susceptibility to covid because they took the vaccine.

Its tough to know whats going on since the data collection has been politicized in Australia and the data collection effectively doesnt happen in Niger

Positive case rate doesn't really matter. What does is death toll and possibly hospitalisation rate.
If the common cold was recorded every time someone had a cough or sniffle - then arguably we would all suffer a holo-cold pandemic each season.
