Russians are idiots. They will sacrifice safety for expediency. They are unable to maintenance their fleet without the experience and expertise of the Ukrainians. Their foray into nuclear engines in supersonic missiles is a disaster. 11 of their scientist died recently in a nuke accident with that program. The US abandoned nuke engine super sonic missiles in the 70's. They determined that they were not worth the risk. Finally you would do well to take any Russian analysis of their capabilities with a grain of salt. And more so if it is US released analysis of Russian capabilities as they lie more than the Russians to distill fear and inflate military deterrent spending. They also make the Russians believe that they have fooled the US intelligence network. If they had such a weapon given Russian incompetence it would be a mitigated disaster. My original post was a tongue in cheek reference to the Russian sub Kursk which sank in 2000 losing all sailors by an improperly maintained torpedo using WWII technology hydrogen peroxide propellant. The Russian navy is a sad joke. They have one carrier which runs on diesel, smokes so much it can be seen for miles and travels with tug boats to tow it when it breaks down, which is often.
