The frame was never designed for that much torque. It used to be popular to swap a V-8 into them to make a quarter-mile car. I don’t remember what the point of failure is, maybe the transmission or motor twisting itself off of the mounts. With that in-line six he is maintaining a fairly well balanced car weight-wise but with the forced induction system that he’s going to put on it it’s gonna be pretty amusing when he drops the clutch the first time if he didn’t do a little extra welding.

Hey OP; You swapped the motor and tranny??,right, but what did you do for the differential and halfshafts?

Putting a Ford 8.8 Differential->Custom Stub Axles->Porsche 930 CV Joint->Porsche 930 Axle->F150 Front Outer CV Joint->Dodge Intrepid Hub. It's supposed to be able to put up with the horse torques, guess I'll find out eventually. I have the engine setup to deliver 500hp easily, I'll turn it up after I get used to it.
