I went to a restaurant in Brooksville, FL this morning called Breakfast Station. Standing by the entrance stood the franchisee (owner) Mike. One does not expect to see a caricature so accurately looking and acting like the Happy Merchant, but this guy truly has the look, stooped shoulders, weird smile and those money-grubbing hand gestures. He had shorter cropped hair and was better shaved than the cartoon image, but oh man, it looked like an animated Son of Happy Merchant if ever there was one.
As my wife and I were leaving, he again held the door for us and I just had to say something, So I said that we really enjoyed the breakfast and would return again. And then we saw it up close: that weird grin. Son of Happy Merchant knew he was going to get money from a new customer. It made his day and meeting somebody who so accurately fit that cartoonish image made my day too. Back in the car, my wife told my that it was okay to giggle now. She understood.
When I was young I worked in the restaurant biz for 2 well known jews. They both worked hard and were excellent folks. One of them had a policy that he would hire any concentration camp survivor that wanted work, so i often found myself working with tattooed forearm folks, and some of them right busted ass getting the job done. Even then - I wondered how there were so many "survivors" if the Germans had really been trying to kill them all, but I still bought the lie.
I'm gonna get shit for this but I really dont have a problem with your average jewish person. I have a lot in my area, and I sell luxury home goods, they have all been great customers. I rent some warehouse space to a jewish guy, he's alright, any time he would complain early on, I just explained to him that if I fixed what he was talking about (new roof, repave parking lot etc...) his rent would go up. No problems after that.
The real jewish problem stems from old money jew europeans and their fusion with the NYC and LA jewish mafias.
Cluster yes. The face was the first thing I noticed. Cartoon image made flesh. I just moved here last week and this was our first restaurant breakfast experience here. I checked the restaurant online, but no pix of Mike. (Got his name from my waitress).
There's a lot of heeb defense going on in this thread, so I'll share a related story.
I worked in hospitality for a while for a couple of crypto jews, and they had this same glib charm hiding something wrathful underneath. These people were maybe my first encounter with the sterotypes; gaudy, but with poor hygiene. Extravagant, but constantly haggling over miniscule things. New Brooks Brothers suits but refusing to treat termites in their decrepit hotel. Allergic to labor. When one employee would go to grab food for his lunch break, the manager/owner would sometimes ask him to pick her up something too. Then she would try to avoid paying him back for it. She literally tried to get a free lunch from a guy she was barely paying in the first place.
One particular incident stuck with me. A customer was checking out, and this owner was schmoozing them at the front desk. "Oh, yes we'd love to have you back. That necklace looks fantastic by the way." Cheerfully glib. Superficial. The customer eventually turned to exit and before the door even closed behind them this scowl of rage came over her face and she spat "you absolute fucking bitch." I'd never see that happen so quickly or severely before or since, and I've worked plenty of customer service jobs. I remember being surprised than anyone could shift so effortlessly, even a woman.

Mind the creepy smile, and don't patronize jews.
