It should be about choice. If people with life-defeating disabilities want assistance to die then the State should do the decent thing and help bring it about. But the Catholics want us all to...suffer. Just like their man did on the Cross.

They should. Young folk think they are bullet proof and they'll die at 85 - crap. Death hovers above us every second of the day. You think as a 26 yo that you'll never end up in a hospital bed for the rest of your days begging to die but...it's very possible.

Foresight comes with wisdom, wisdom comes with age. When I was 26 of course I thought I would never end up in a hospital bed. But I never thought I would die at 85, I was betting I wouldn’t make it past 30. Now I look back and think “what an idiot”
