The only time I was fired was at a 1200-plus employee company. I had been hired and had a 90-day 'probation'. I had my 90 day review got a 10% raise and a promotion to lead position. A week later I was called to a meeting with 50 other employees, someone I had no idea who went to the lectern and told us the company had a bad quarter and we need to leave our company IDs on our way out. There is no guarantee of employment for life.

I take this as a sign that the pendulum is getting ready to swing in the other direction. Be aware, the right and the left are just two arms of the same beast... Yes the sexually immoral are bad but that does not mean you should pick up the pitchforks and torches and actively do anything about it. The oncoming recession will be changing the attitude at many companies. During good times they can afford to be bloated, not that it's a good thing. I was hired to help turn around a small family owned company that was in debt. I told the owner that he needed to fire 5% of the workforce annually, it's healthy and good for morale. One of my first moves was to fire the least productive employee and I sent the owner's daughter packing as well. I think the Johnny Depp- Amber Heard trial will have more of an impact on wokeness than most would think.
