Wow, I am in a similar situation with an older woman as a younger male. A very attractive older woman that just has an aura of sadness and tragedy. It’s tragic, but there is not much you can do besides protect yourself from people who are damaged by their own or other people’s actions. As much as my codependency would like to be with her, it made me really want to find a woman my age to have children with. It is what it is.
