Looks like they were trying to escape the police and ended up crashing. The article says Vicki White shot herself but who knows. The media lies more often than not.

He must have lied his ass off to her, telling her he had millions stashed and a way to get to south america without getting caught. Guess the Corrections staff will be having all sorts of internal investigations and audits out their ass for the next few months. This kinda of thing is has been well known to occur in the past and there is all kinds of policies and instruction to avoid any personal chit chat beyond mundane generalities, esp for Female Officers at a Male Facility.
