We should shower when we need to. If we are doing hard labour all day it makes sense to be dirty all day and then shower in the evening and shower again in the morning if need be.

Tend to agree. Some folk (e.g. a housemate of mine and her BF many years ago) go to bed dirty, have dirty sex and shower in the morning.

"after every shit". I think that's excessive given it's only the anus that would be dirty and not your hair, face etc. Wouldn't a wet-wipe be the better alternative?

I shower cold, so showering before bed would wake me up and i wouldn't be able to sleep.
