Universities are urged to re-examine their current recongnition and reward policies and recognize “a more diverse array of skills and competencies ...and work-life challeges.”

Because that will cure cancer!

It's a pain in the butt to deal with a large group of authors when you want to publish a paper they wrote. It can take 2 weeks to get agreement on correcting a spelling error.

Lone authors are a God send. They answer in 5 minutes by email.
