I kinda agree and disagree. Drugs can be good but the problem is the drugs that work are expensive and the free drugs are poisonous.

So... someone tell me... how do you prep a pool for the summer?

To be honest, this isn't a good analogy. When the fish population is too diseased or contaminated, they literally will kill off the body and start over.

This is one of those things that sounds pithy and profound, but it's just stupid and gay. Like OP.

To be fair, that is literally how you clean a pool. Pour in poison until it's nice and clean and clear.

Well technically, the pool is poisoned. Looks clean, but has a bunch of chlorine in it. Use pool water to water your garden and the plants might die.

Chlorine does not like to stay in solution and will evaporate from the water relatively quickly, which is why you have to keep adding it regularly. But even if it's at full strength and you empty the pool onto the lawn it does not kill any vegetation because the levels are not high enough. If you were to let vegetation sit in chlorinated water for an extended period then certainly it would die, because that's what is supposed to happen. Source: have been draining my pool onto my lawn and flower beds for years.

Not having a pool myself, i was making assumptions. Seems like grass is hard to kill. My tropical houseplants don't even like the minute amounts of chlorine in tap water.

I came here to mention chlorine in pools👍
