It might appear that there is no content, as by default, communities on Aether are NSFW, and you need to actively enable search for NSFW too in order to find these communities.

Good? Depends on how you define it I guess. It's a forum that's p2p, so I think that's good. Small userbase though, like...really small. Thus I've created this place to try to get some more activity there. Haven't had enough people there to know if it's good. Looks like it has a lot of potential though.

It is the right place, the way things should be. One of the interesting things about it is that there are many tech nerds there, and also when the sparks fly when Goats meet the less red pilled people.

I am willing to give aether a shot. I already did the nigger test and so far the comment is still there.

I wish there was a way to group subs as part of one community though to help capture that old voat feel.

I saw that. There's an active person or two from what I perceive as the "main group" there trying to get us over there, so if they didn't want nigger tested I'm sure they wouldn't be here doing that. Maybe we can start taking the top 3-5 voat posts each day and crossposting them to the Voat sub on Aether?

A clumsy way to acheive that would be to name things with a prefix. For example, instead of /b/Funny, which would be for normal people, as far as normal goes on aether!, you could have /b/voat-Funny. Instead of /b/Linux, you could have /b/voat-Linux.

Aetherians would see the prefix and have an idea of what sort of sub it was.

Hi, it is great that you setup an account on Aether, but that link is to your ID, not to a room /sub (or community as they are called on Aether).

This identity did create a community though:

The hash in the above link is actually a user ID, so in Aether, go into Search, select "People", paste the hash there and tap "Search".

Hello there. Thanks for starting this thread. More of us should be on Aether.

talk.lol relies upon a centralized authority (the website) for identity. Aether has no such requirement, and this is one reason why Aether offers greater anonymity and therefor is stronger for Free Speech.

Remember, by default, every sub on Aether is NSFW (Not Suitable For Work), even things like /b/cooking. You need to go into settings and enable NSFW, and additionally subscribe to the many communities there.

By default, there are no thumbnails, for security reasons. You can change this setting too, to allow all or some thumbnails.
