Especially this part (from article):

“You will need to make smart swaps – especially when it comes to nutrients like B12, creatine and omega 3 fatty acids, which are found almost exclusively in animal products,” says Dr Bradley. “Others such as iron and calcium are found in small quantities in plants, but are significantly less bioavailable, which mean they’re less able to be absorbed by the body.”

Humans are carnivores and like all carnivores we can suppliment our diets with seasonal plants.

But over consumption of plants leads to inflammation. Obesity. Mental illnesses. Physical weakness. Diabetes and premature death.

100% fact based claim is that in the west plant based diets are the leasing cause of death by far

And given the fifth generation warfare waged upon us. Plant based dietary advice was always well Poisoning.

We are not true carnivores. We are omnivores with a preference for meat (like dogs, bears). True carnivores like felines only eat meat.

Wow, very refreshing to see a sensible comment on this particular issue

Omnivore is a relatively new term, they started using it for animals in the 1800s. Before that, the scientific term was 'facultative carnivore': Indicating that meat is preferable for the species, but they can also survive (but not thrive) on plant matter.

The scientific term for species like felines would be 'obligate carnivore' - these can only survive on meat.

From the article: “There’s no denying that increasing the amount of vegetables, fruits, nuts and pulses you eat will improve your health.” …pulses you eat?!

[ - ] Ragnar 1 point 2.1 yearsApr 7, 2022 19:34:02 ago (+1/-0)

I've seen that with my own eyes. However, being a vegan coupled with working out is a great way to increase your anaerobic endurance.

i work with a 30-something vegan who’s got the body of a 90-year old. strains and muscle injuries are permanent. he just abandons use of his back and shoulders. its almost like the vegan diet damaging their body gives them an excuse to be lazy.

No comment except : "eat beans".

Eat lentils!!

No one said this would be easy!

[ - ] MichaelStewart 0 points 2.1 yearsApr 8, 2022 01:29:19 ago (+0/-0)

Think I'd rather die of GRIDS than to eat lentils again...

I knew you weren’t antisocial by choice, Pauly. Your radioactive farts drove people away from you and your wife

[ - ] paul_neri 0 points 2.1 yearsApr 7, 2022 19:37:49 ago (+0/-0)

That's a typical reaction us bean-eaters get but it's wrong. Apparently our gut adjusts to our diet and keeps flattus under control. I eat a tin of beans a day and have done so for 30 years. I am...terrific.

[ - ] MichaelStewart 1 point 2.1 yearsApr 8, 2022 01:28:44 ago (+1/-0)

Oh yeah, what kind of beans?
