There's also at least one unofficial Windows10 version that comes de-spooked, though you might lose some functionality with it. If you have some time there is usually a workaround for linux compatibility, but those can be a pain in the ass if you aren't ready to chew through them. Either way, fuck winblows forever.

Glad to hear it! Linux is mostly fire and forget, so once you spend the time for the setup, you won't need to touch it again.

....This is with the sole exception of e.g. Ubuntu, and it's derivatives, like Linux Mint. The jews have been making inroads on Linux for a while, as they tookover the master distribution of the Ubuntu family, Debian, in a coup to force the adoption of systemd (the non-systemd variant is Devuan), as well 2 other notable inroads. None of this matters to you yet, so long as you do a couple key things: when you do your mint install:

1. Create a separate 'home' partition, and preferably a separate 'boot' partition (this will make dealing with a dual boot of Windows easier as Windows will actually fuck with the boot files of your computer without warning. The reason for the separate home partition is to allow you to leave Linux Mint in the future with no headaches, as well as making it easy to basically copy/paste all of the files that are actually yours without having any system files mixed in.

2. Boot partitions only need a handful of gigs, as they only store efi files and some other specific startup stuff (e.g. kernels, and grub, which is the Linux preloader and recovery environment), none of which is very big.

3. The root partition, if you separate the home partition, will only store system stuff. Mint needs like 20 gigs just for the install, and every piece of software you install will take this space up. Cinnamon (the prettiest of the desktops) takes another 3ish, and WINE (which lets you run Windows programs) is like 1.5 gigs by itself, and has tons of extensions for specific use cases that, if installed, will run another 1.5ish gigs. I usually budget 64 gigs for this partition.

4. DO NOT ENCRYPT THE HOME PARTITION. If you want encryption, you should use LUKS, which is the most secure full disk encryption iirc. Encrypting only this partition will cause you headaches when you feel confident enough in Linux to leave Mint, which is sort of like our sandbox for new users leaving Windows.

I got my lappy converted from Win10 to Mint. I have trouble with pictures, but otherwise it's great.

Maybe you should have clicked it and actually tried to learn how YOU actually can fight racial injustices. It doesn't hurt to keep an open mind.

Bro, why don't you use Wine + WIneTricks? There are plenty of ways to run windows apps on Linux.

I did Manjaro, was easier to transition than I thought. I'm actually dual boot, have to load up Windoze (still 7) mybe once a year for something that simply doesn't have a linux counterpart. But beyond that, glad I made the change... took a long damn time for there to be a distro I could tolerate (loaded my first linux in about 1997~8).

Anyway, I've tried Mint in the past, like Manjaro way more.

Tried to make a screen cap,(prnt/screen) but apparently you can't , till you actually log into the machine. Nice little catch 22 loop...
