Another ruined grape harvest

submitted by AnmanIndustries to Australia 2.2 yearsMar 19, 2022 03:20:55 ago (+8/-2)     (Australia)

Had 16 active vines this year. Each one grew a tonne of bunches and despite the dry ass summer, I managed to keep them watered. Almost every bunch was full and growing healthily. But none ripened. Messed up weather. Leaves are now dropping and the grapes are starting to shrivel on the vine. Lots of people down here are have had similar problems. Same thing happened last year as well to every one.

Worst year for fruit this year regardless. Lots of berries though. Always have a variety of food sources.

I have 4 vines in my backyard. Didn't get any grapes this past season. That's unusual, but not unprecedented.

I know a guy with a big vineyard, and they seemed to have done ok.

Plant peaches. They do well on the dry years. We had a wicked good crop of em this year while everything else was on life support.

We have 2 different peaches and a nectarine, neither had any fruit this year. Weather was really retarded for the whole season.

At least you have some raisins.

[ - ] AnmanIndustries [op] 0 points 2.2 yearsMar 19, 2022 18:46:10 ago (+0/-0)

I'd get more enjoyment out of eating a lemon like an apple.

[ - ] lord_nougat 0 points 2.2 yearsMar 19, 2022 19:42:00 ago (+0/-0)

that is not very good for the enamel of your teeth, but one must derive enjoyment from that which brings enjoyment to one.

Or some such blather...

I'm pretty sure the unripened raisins outside would be worse. Care to try them?

[ - ] beece 1 point 2.2 yearsMar 19, 2022 10:04:46 ago (+1/-0)

In the us we have actual government agents who's job is is to help you with shit like that. There's also local county extension agents and some universities who do that. It's one of the few things which the gov. does well in fact. Might be simply something like a fungus that is easily treatable. Best to figure it out now so you get some grapes next year.

Best of luck

Do they go out to small time homesteader type people? Because it is interesting to hear about how retarded governments get things right.

[ - ] Cunt 1 point 2.2 yearsMar 19, 2022 08:00:53 ago (+3/-2)

Probably all the chemtrails. Did you notice they are doing them at night too?

[ - ] AnmanIndustries [op] 0 points 2.2 yearsMar 19, 2022 08:24:02 ago (+2/-2)

I think someone brought this up in another post a while ago. It's way too windy up where I am and we only get the 2 airline fly overs at the same time every day. BUT we also get a lot of tiny aircraft flying around real low. Maybe.

[ - ] Cunt 0 points 2.2 yearsMar 19, 2022 19:19:14 ago (+0/-0)

Yeah that was me. I know you say that but I still don't believe it. Melbourne is pretty heavily sprayed and I think you are not too far out relative to how far across the sky they fly.

They work in the upper stratosphere, Qantas type commercial planes fly in the upper troposphere, maybe just into the lower stratosphere. If you see any small, low flying aircraft spraying that would be normal crop dusting not chemtrails.

So the chemtrail planes look like tiny specks in the sky sometimes, other times they look about Qantas size but when right near a plane where I can make out the kangaroo logo the chemtrail plane is blurry like it is way further away. If it is really windy up there chemtrails can spread fast but still not as fast as a contrail. They have definitely increased the spread speed in the last couple of years.
If it is cloudy you won't see them as they work above the clouds. Wind at ground level is not always the same as higher up.

I'm not in full disbelief, any one who doesn't think the government isn't harming the people is retarded. There is enough evidence around to say that governments around the world have done this and 100% it has happened during war times.

I just can not see Australia being a big part of it. Its low population and if I wanted to ruin as many people as possible, I see it as a waste of time. But I can also see them doing it as means of making people dumber so they can be controlled better. Im over 60km from the CBD and high in the mountains. Wind very rarely blows in from the city side. I reckon if they are doing it I am much safer.

Why are you so adamant about this? Not asking why personally, but for your evidence or reasoning.

Cold and wet has been good for berries.

What varietal of grapes are you growing OP?

[ - ] AnmanIndustries [op] 0 points 2.2 yearsMar 19, 2022 18:43:01 ago (+1/-1)

Thompson (sultana) and pino (dont know which one). Cold and wet is ok for grapes too, but the constant switching to hot and cold and wet is problem for them.

[ - ] ruck_feddit -2 points 2.2 yearsMar 19, 2022 15:30:20 ago (+0/-2)

This is the "what makes people white" pilpul faggot. He's the OP.

[ - ] UncleDoug -1 points 2.2 yearsMar 19, 2022 22:25:55 ago (+0/-1)

Pilpul is one of those halakhic words derived from the Torah that fightkikeZERO used to use all the time.

Hey kike!

[ - ] ruck_feddit 0 points 2.2 yearsMar 19, 2022 23:37:27 ago (+0/-0)*

You misunderstood!

This (the OP) is the guy who posts "what makes people white" and engages in round and round pilpul. He (OP) is a faggot. You have to remember the post I'm referring to.

No response a day later though you're active? Ohh, you're AU buddies! Are you a pajeet, same as him?

Crop insurance?

[ - ] AnmanIndustries [op] 2 points 2.2 yearsMar 19, 2022 08:22:53 ago (+4/-2)

I don't think 16 vines count as a crop worth insuring. If I include every one else on my property I still think it wouldn't count. The insurance is in the having of multiple different plants.

Diversity is your strength!

[ - ] 2Drunk 1 point 2.2 yearsMar 19, 2022 11:36:11 ago (+1/-0)

I could be wong but plants don't rape and kill your daughter and leave her body behind the dumpster. Then again, I'm not a farmer so I'm not really qualified to comment.

[ - ] Her0n 0 points 2.2 yearsMar 19, 2022 16:56:06 ago (+0/-0)

There are plenty of parasitic plants out there. The key is to have plants that hold similar values morally, spiritually, socially who work in concert together.

Companion farming is great! But if you add in invasive species or parasitic species the crops will fail.

A garden needs a strong leader who will eradicate the parasitic plants and keep the invasive plants from crossing the gardens borders.

I'm sorry, but that fucking poetry.

[ - ] ruck_feddit -2 points 2.2 yearsMar 19, 2022 05:16:41 ago (+3/-5)

Who am I?

"Are they white grapes? What makes them white grapes? The area they are grown or their genes? If you grow these grapes in Africa, are they black grapes? I won't accept anything except serious answers, but I'll act like a faggot regardless of what you say."

I'm you!

[ - ] AnmanIndustries [op] 2 points 2.2 yearsMar 19, 2022 05:27:59 ago (+4/-2)

I do not go off topic and act like a child.

[ - ] ruck_feddit 0 points 2.2 yearsMar 19, 2022 05:44:40 ago (+3/-3)

So you can't answer? I've asked this question all over voat and no one can give me the answer that I want. How do you know that the grapes are white?

[ - ] AnmanIndustries [op] 0 points 2.2 yearsMar 19, 2022 06:12:59 ago (+2/-2)

How many people and times have you asked that question? You are a liar and a child and if you want to play these games, I'll let you know something... Whatever. Kids today are retarded.

[ - ] ruck_feddit 0 points 2.2 yearsMar 19, 2022 23:40:32 ago (+0/-0)

A white person would know when he's being mocked. FYI: that's what I'm doing to you.

[ - ] FalseRealityCheck -1 points 2.2 yearsMar 19, 2022 10:50:58 ago (+1/-2)

...give me the answer that I want.
Therein lies your problem. Perhaps you should stick to sites like reddit.

[ - ] ruck_feddit -1 points 2.2 yearsMar 19, 2022 15:29:16 ago (+0/-1)

You aren't aware of what this is about. I admit it is probably confusing to you, but that doesn't change the fact that you're out of your element.

Actually, your response is perfect for his typical posts that I'm making fun of.

[ - ] ruck_feddit -2 points 2.2 yearsMar 19, 2022 05:46:10 ago (+2/-4)

Didn't acting like a faggot get you into the negative where your comments and posts were restricted and you had to cry to putt about it? I 'member.

[ - ] AnmanIndustries [op] 1 point 2.2 yearsMar 19, 2022 06:11:46 ago (+3/-2)

Uh, you have someone else entirely.

[ - ] ruck_feddit -1 points 2.2 yearsMar 19, 2022 15:32:47 ago (+0/-1)

I was off on the details a bit, but you're the guy I was thinking of. Downvoat away; we can play that game again.

[ - ] AnmanIndustries [op] -1 points 2.2 yearsMar 19, 2022 18:53:53 ago (+0/-1)

Unfortunately you are wrong. I have never been restricted in posting on voat. But, there were plenty of people like you on voat and also the reason it was really bad towards the end. People like you were why all the good fun and productive members left to gab and the like. You can waste your time down voting all you want. It's free real estate.

[ - ] ruck_feddit 0 points 2.2 yearsMar 19, 2022 19:56:52 ago (+0/-0)

So you're a white European living in Australia?
