is this going to be like the 'economic stimulus package' that 'everyone' was going to get that most people never saw?

or more like centerlink giving you the most money ever by giving you an extra $12 per fortnight? (thats a whole extra day riding the bus to work and home for melbournians. WOW!)

or more like being offered an extra week to pay an overdue bill because hardship?

Uh, you mean inner melbournians? I think when my wife had to catch a train in from outer melbourne (not including the cost of driving to the station from rural), it was like $25 to get into the city.

With all the money being thrown around these last two years they could have bought back all the public assets sold off and immediately reduced the cost of living significantly

Vic has insane taxes on fuel. They could just, you know, stop that. Or they could just not cut out a large percent of the population from working, you know. Normal human things.
