New Voat/Talk.lol Project UPDATED 3/12/22
With DuckDuckGo now intentionally coming out as the enemy of free speech (they always were, but pretended otherwise) it would be nice to find one that works with no censorship (like google). Lets all compare notes and meet back here with your top choices or all of the ones you find rated. Surely this isn't all search engines.
Do this: Find a search string you want to get info on that may be controversial. Lets say something like: "How many faggots kill themselves after they get their balls chopped off". That's just an example, pick something that makes sense to you.
"Did Jews in Ukraine Really Steal $2 billion dollars from the USA"?
"Did Hunter Biden's Laptop really call out his grifter dad, Joe?"
Anyway, you get that part. Enter them all into these search engines and rank them based on how well you think they did based on your question.
Let's keep this thread on topic. I will note that recently I was looking for a video, and metager, my top choice, totally failed, but Qwant came through.
Poster Fight_the_lies put up this site:
https://restoreprivacy.com/private-search-engine/ and noted that SearchEncrypt.com is literally Chinese spyware. What Restoreprivacy fails to note is that Express VPN is owned by Kape Technology, an Israli company affiliated with the Mossad. (they were the folks that bought old Voat)
Maybe we all need to utilize multiple search engines. Once you have your list, please add the new ones you tried and rank them all based on how well they did. Clearly I need to re-rank, as it's been a while and duckduck go is known to be superfucked now. Back then, everything under Oscobi was all but worthless for truth and honesty and only used when everything else failed. Google does great if you are looking for a truck to rent, but they sort based on wokeness. Fuck that and fuck them.

I knew duckduckgo were pozzed before, but I was too lazy to switch. So far searx mostly seems to deliver good results but it's quite slow and sometimes I have to refresh.
Edit: Holy shit, metager is F A S T. I think I'll try using that one for a while. Anyone know anything about it's background?

The best operating system to use, with the best setup.
The best network to communicate on regarding sensitive topics (such as regarding the sharing of information or discussing methods of political activism).
The best hardware build to put together to run things on.
The best software to use for each possible purpose.
Etc.

It STARTED THAT WAY and this was clearly posted and reposted on voat. I stopped using it back when it first came out because of someone's research back then.

Voat here shares the same flaw as all the search engines suggested here: centralization on a proprietary http platform.
To solve this important problem, a distributed, self-hosted, Free-Software solution is needed. Aether fits the bill for a discussion forum, and for search, the best option is:
https://YaCy.net (Yet Another Cyber)
By the way, if you are benchmarking search engines, I think you should use "Dr. David Duke" and "Brother Nathanael" as search terms.
YaCy is great as you crawl the sites you are interested in yourself and contribute your results to the network. Almost every other option so far suggested provides censored results. With YaCy, you actually look yourself.
If you can't be bothered with YaCy, also look at:

https://www.tor2web.org/
https://gibiru.com/

https://gigablast.com/

And remember, you should be on Aether! https://getaether.net

Been searching for better search engine for decades without any good results. There's also https://infotiger.com but it isn't any good with results, either.

Yandex was okay, but yeah obviously Russian biased.
Bing can be surprisingly good when looking for basic things but is slowly getting worse.
