Tastes fine, potato nigger. You were asked for an alternative in the threads, and you admit you had none, and fell behind the lame excuse, "Honestly, I don't do that many searches. So, I would honestly say that I don't use a search engine."

Logic says: "not many" != "none", so you DO use a search engine, but decline to say which one. Of course it's fucking Google, right?

So what did I lose by going to duckduckgo all this time? Nothing, Google didn't get my searches. So now duckduckgo is dead to me, fine. I was always prepared to abandon them, just like I am any site that betrays their reason for existence.

What to use now? Well, duckduckgo was just a privacy-oriented proxy for Bing anyways, so I'll go there until I find something better. Yeah, Bing sucks too, owned by Microsoft, but not quite as bad as Google when it comes to search manipulation. I will post a followup post when I settle on a better alternative.

Reminder that they engage in the same link tracking as google, just on mobile (and using javscript/mouseover on PC). Turn your resolution down and change your user agent and they will replace all links with an intermediate tracker like Google does, which redirects you to the actual link. Alternatively, on mobile, longpress the links using a browser that will show you the link you are about to open (e.g. Inbrowser).

I might have been the first to find that out, posted about it on real Voat.

Also reminder that the owner of DDG previously ran an actual dragnet, and is literally based out of Israel.

Here is my litmus test for whether they manipulate searches. Search "kill yourself" do gooders redirect( would be a shame if the goyim killed themself without getting us shekels first. Just sterilize yourself or have interacial babbies and take out my mortgage and credit card debts).

Most alt search engines fail this and give the exact same results. I once tested like 30 and 28/30 were esssentially one of four sets of algorythms( two of those being googles controlled oposition duck duck go and bings, none use google (probably because they want to be obviously not google for the zombie branding). only those two passed the kill yourself test for not adding some extra bs disclaimer shit

A quick test glance shows that has been very heavily censored.

Fiddling with the regional settings can help.
Type in words about things and topics that people like to censor and do an image search.
Lewds of things people like to censor are the easiest tell but political events and sometimes gore is useful too.
If you get nothing or off topic things when you know there should be results then you know its censored.
There are also cases where a slight mispelling gives you exactly what you want when precise spelling wont.
Sometimes existing search results will vanish too. Sometimes in a clearly unnatural way such as having thousands of results reduced to zero or a handful of things from the same sites. That or the previously mentioned unrelated things.

Googles search results just keep getting worse and worse. (I test it from time to time.)
Its at the point where the results are so useless I dont even consider the site fit to be considered a search engine.
