Russian jets destroyed include at least four Su-34 fighter/bomber aircraft, four Su-25 ground attack fighters, two Su-30 fighter jets and nine attack helicopters. The economic cost is huge, estimated at almost a quarter of a billion pounds for warplanes alone.

Is that a lot?

According to wikipedia they have:

- Sukhoi Su-34 200 Units

- Sukhoi Su-30 110 Units

- Su-25, couldn't find accurate numbers but at least 80 have been modernised. I gather they're on the way out though, being replaced by more advanced designs.

Unless they're desperately short of pilots it doesn't sound like they can't keep it up.

That's only the last 24 hours. The total is around 50 helicopters and 40 planes. They sent two helis after a downed pilot but was captured anyway.

Your source says it's a total figure since the invasion began:

Verified images show 11 planes, 11 helicopters and two drones have been shot down since invasion began, including nine at the weekend

Plus I'd expect that to be the most dangerous period for air crews: That's when all of the enemy air defences are intact.

"verified images" is the key point there, they have hit airbases across the border in russia among other things.

Today the ukes reportedly hit 30 helis in Chernobayivka so the Russians are starting to run out of hardware they can realistically deploy.

Either it's bullshit, or the yanks are secretly sniping Hinds. No way the Ukes are that effective on their own.

Most of them have gone through NATO training.

That doesn't mean much. The average US army grunt has gone through NATO training. The issue here is more a question of scale: The Ukraine doesn't have much of one.

Just because wikipedia is biased doesn't mean it's wrong about basic press releases.

Because it is biased is exactly why it would claim a "press release" to be correct, even if it isn't. Go look up how many people have died from covid 19 according to wikipedia.
