Did you forget lighters in bulk?

One of the things I still had on my list of preps was lighters. I bought a 50 pack of crack lighters for $30 at the flea market last week. Not as good as bic, but it was a good enough deal I did not want to pass up. I will continue buying more as I find them.

Lighters will be useful for bartering. Stock up.

I got a couple zippos, as well as a shitload of fluid. I also have at least 100 bic lighters. What's nice about disposable lighters is that the flint fits well enough into a Zippo that they're definitely serviceable.

I can't imagine this being a problem even over a human lifetime. I've got random bics and el cheapo lighters in drawers and coat pockets I've had for a couple decades.

I've got a display tray of full size bics from a job 15 years ago. The trays you see on the stand in gas stations. 8x12 or 10x10, I'd have to go look, but you can picture the one I mean.

Lighters have a shelf life of about 1 year. A few will stretch out. But, eventually it becomes a bad prep. For $30 maybe it doesn't really hurt all that bad. But, it's not the best play.

Buy lighter fluid and zippos.

Better yet. Buy machinery that will help you make oil and just make oil lamps.
