Thanks for the link, bro.
Amazon is my absolute last choice for *any* purchase.
I used to be a 100k+ lifetime customer for them. Now I buy maybe 1 or 2 things per year that are either difficult to source otherwise or I have an immediate need for.
Many of the Nag Hammadi texts make reference to Judaism, in some cases with a violent rejection of the Jewish God.[19][note 14] Gershom Scholem once described Gnosticism as "the Greatest case of metaphysical anti-Semitism".[27] Professor Steven Bayme said gnosticism would be better characterized as anti-Judaism.
Sounds promising.
What would you say is the relationship between gnosticism and neoplatonism if any?
Any time I've read about it it doesn't sound that much like an abrahamic religion, a lot more like zoroastrianism.

And sometimes it sees you first. Lurking in the shadows; begging to be noticed & acknowledged so that it can come forth. It needs fear. That is why we are admonished to 'fear not'.
If you're interested in delving further, I find Seneca's Letters to Lucilius to be particularly accessible. Those will take a while to get through, however.
As an aside, pretty sure "pneumatic" means breather. There's an interesting connection between breathing/wind and consciousness in greek philosophy. They considered breathing to be a form of sentience and zeus's breath to be the manner in which knowledge and enlightenment spread throughout the universe.

That's a good alternative to Amazon for books.

I never would have guessed that.
That's a common perception of the practice and I invite you to reconsider.
In my experience, it's quite the opposite.
Stoicism conditions the mind to both appreciate good fortune and endure hardship without being attached to any particular outcome.

A more modest, though certainly worthwhile, investment of time might be to spend a few minutes looking through these quotes from Epictetus and see if anything resonates with you: https://kidadl.com/articles/best-epictetus-quotes-from-the-greek-stoic-philosopher
