My goal is to understand why Russia invaded Ukraine in the first place. Obviously Google is useless. I have been watching a lot of shows about the situation and I read a good portion of this thread on voat
https://www.voat.xyz/viewpost?postid=621a446223544 but I'm still confused.
I'm looking for clear answers so I'm gonna divide this into sections.
1. NATO has been building bases closer to Russia. Sources? Which bases and when? Has Ukraine been armed with any weapons by NATO? Didn't the U.S. send tons of weapons to Ukraine recently over this exact conflict? I have heard it's unrealistic for Ukraine to actually join NATO so was NATO a real threat or was the real threat that Ukraine would be westernized which would have a similar effect to it joining NATO. Was Russia strangling that baby in the crib?
2. Was Ukraine getting better trade deals from the west? I heard they were getting better trade deals with the west compared to with Russia.
3. Is the Nord Stream pipeline part of this somehow?
4. Has the US/NATO been trying to start this war?
5. Why now? Alex Jones pointed out February is the best time to go because earlier in the year the tanks get bogged down in the mud so this was about as early as they could do it. Is this really about weak ass Biden (cause you know Taiwan will be next)?
6. Do you see any clear strings to NWO/WEF puppet masters? What about a great financial reset?

There has been many speculations surrounding why Putin is doing what he is doing and most of them are founded on modern problems like gas and NATO. But there is one thing that has never changed and never will change:
the only way to invade Russia from the west is through Ukraine(and the baltic states, but the alliance with Belarus solves the issue on that front). The terrain is shaped like a funnel that is narrow in the west and wide open once you enter Russia. It is impossible to defend Russia if If the narrow part is not under direct or indirect control by Russia they are at the mercy of a people which they have has numerous conflicts with since the dawn of time - the Germans, the french, the Anglos etc. Today all of these are united under NATO and even if NATO is an defensive alliance it is Putins job to assume and prepare for the worst. NATO can always decide to become hostile or aggressive at some point, who knows what the future brings.
This is also the reason why Crimea is important + the naval base ans access to the Black sea. I don't for a second believe Putin gives a fuck about the ethnic Russians that make up the majority of the population Crimea and the Donbas region, since he is letting Asians immigrate to Russia en masse and have done everything to quell Russian nationalists, he is just using it as an excuse to play a geopolitical game which is securing Russias existence and his own power base.
Putin has an issue with the missile bases NATO have been building. He does not trust the West. https://www.rferl.org/a/nato-shows-off-missile-base-in-romania-calling-it-purely-defensive-/30291193.html
This guys posted some good articles. They are biased in favor of Russia, but brings up undisputed historical facts that must be taken into consideration. https://www.voat.xyz/viewpost?postid=62194a8558592&commentid=62195a633fcdd

- Kaliningrad: Not actually connected to Russia. They have to ship through baltic countries to access it
- Archangelsk: Frozen hellhole during summer, unusable in winter.
- Rostov on Don: Behind three easily locked off barriers. The dardanelles, Istanbul and Crimea
- Sevestapol: Behind two easily locked off barriers and a barrier to Rostov.
- Vladivostok: Waaaaaaaay the fuck over there.
In short, anything Russia does is geared towards gaining an easily accessible warm-water port, or in this case not losing one. Crimea itself has the port, Donesk is the third of the Ukraine leading there. They want both.

Two more things.
One, libtards are universally in favor of supporting 'Ukraine". But they never gave a shit about countless heart wrenching tragedies in the world. But now they're out protesting with BLM-esque symbology and rainbow flags in favor of the oppressed "democratically elected government of Ukraine". But it's so funny to me that Ukraine, as I have heard, has active neo-nazi military forces ethnically cleansing Russians in eastern Ukraine (????? citation needed. Something like that. Sounds far out to me but that's the gist of what I've been hearing). Liberals are literally supporting nazis LMAOOOO.
Two, I have heard Putin is practical and like what you said is making moves to keep Russia alive. He's cozying up to China (citation needed, sorry, I heard that somewhere) and is encouraging Asian migration into Russia. All practical moves. But I've also heard he is a 'young world leader" of the WEF and mass immigration, while perhaps seemingly practical from Putin's perspective, does seem like something the NWO/WEF would want. Perhaps Putin found an agreeable way to satisfy the WEF.

The Azov battalion is openly National Socialist and a leader have said they have a goal of A Ukraine consisting of 100% Ukraine blood, but IDK if they have actually been genociding russian in the east. But the Ukraine military have been shelling them for 8 years and ramped it up early 2022. Our press doesn't bother it mention this at all, but it is true. So true, in fact, that even wikipedia says so - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donbas#War_in_Donbas_(2014%E2%80%93present)
On February 17, 2022, the situation in Donbass escalated. In the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, heavy shelling by Ukrainian security forces was reported, including from heavy weapons. The republics announced a general mobilization and evacuation of civilians to the territory of Russia.[60]
On February 18, 2022, people living in the Donbass region began to displace themselves towards Russia due to Ukraine’s bomb attacks on their territories.[63]
On February 21, 2022, the Security Council of Russia approved the recognition of the independence of the Donetsk and Luhansk.[64]
On February 22, 2022, Nicaraguan President, Daniel Ortega, called Russia’s recognition of DPR and LPR a step towards regional security. [65]
On February 24, 2022, Vladimir Putin made a decision to carry out a special military operation in Ukraine. The Russian president stated: "In this context, in accordance with Article 51 (Chapter VII) of the UN Charter, with permission of Russia’s Federation Council, and in execution of the treaties of friendship and mutual assistance with the Donetsk People’s Republic and the Lugansk People’s Republic, ratified by the Federal Assembly on February 22, I made a decision to carry out a special military operation." In this same statement, he said that NATO crossed the red line, referring to the construction of military bases close to Russia's borders.[citation needed]
On February 25, 2022, the Deputy Foreign Minister of the DPR, Sergey Peresada, said that the people of Donbass want peace, and “are infinitely grateful to the Russian Federation , the President of the Russian Federation, the government, the parliament for recognizing our republics, for saving the lives of our children, our parents, our loved ones.” [66]
I have to say I agree with the Azov battalion in that the Ukrainians have a right to an etnohsate, I'd be a hypocrite if I didn't(I want all immigrants out of my land and an end to The Replacement). It's their idea of genocide that I can't agree with, which is why it seems like a good idea to let Donbas and Crimea become Russian. It's either that, chase them to Russia or kill them all.
Putin is either a WEF pawn or he played them like a fiddle. This whole topic is so complex. A jew president with a neo nazi battalion in the army, wft? Putin - is he a globalist WEF pawn or is he just securing the existence of Russia? And what are the Jews really trying to accomplish here? I read somewhere that this might just be Platos cave and what we are seeing is just the shadows on the wall.

That further clarifies this conflict.
It's not clear from Wikipedia if Ukraine has been continuously assaulting Donbass since 2014 or if it has been periodic but they for sure have been assaulting those in eastern Ukraine who do not recognize the coup. In addition to that an MP from Latvia was silenced for mentioning a Ukraine drone killed a child in Donbass. So Ukraine has not been a dove and while Russian motives for the invasion are probably largely different there does seem to be an element of defending eastern Ukraine which, again, was a civil war situation created by the coup which as I understand it was created by the west and in particular created by Victoria Nuland.

Donbas is the name of the region in the eastern part of Ukraine.
This wiki article says it's been ongoing since 2014 with the longest ceasefire lasting for 6 weeks. IDK if they have been shelling them straight for 8 years though. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_in_Donbas
It really escalated in 2021 - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_in_Donbas#2021%E2%80%932022_escalation
Here are two videos that are on my watch list:
An American living in Donbas - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Mfv2M9q8vc
This video was linked in the article - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p50mlVUTwm8
*Seems like the American guy living in Donbas is a communist fighting fascism in Ukraine. Stopped watching.

But when the U.S. do in Ukraine what they have done in latin america and puts an anti-russian puppet as replacement for an elected pro-russian leader, Putins got to wonder what's up with that. And when the russians in Donbas an Crimea holds an referendum to cut ties with Ukraine and then gets shelled for 8 years without the west doing anything or the press writing anything about it it makes him wonder what's coming next.
To get a good understanding of Putin or Russia you can't view the situation from a western perspective.
My take on this situasjon is far from ridiculous, it is based on reality, following the situation objectively over many years, an interest in European history and growing up/living in Scandinavia.

Strategic defense has been mentioned in this thread and yes that's true and maybe the single best reason for russian military to do this. The next issue is nuclear missile silos being too close to their borders.
At best any give country has a 60% chance to stop a given ICBM the faster the missile is going, the closer the launch site to the target, and the stealth and defensive capabilities of the missile all cause that to decline. in essence russia can't let bordering nations join NATO because nato might create another Cuban missile crisis and if russia tries to fight off those border countries article 5 is activated by NATO, WW3 starts and nuclear war is likely.
Russia needs to keep it's stalemate in place and nato is foolishly undermining it.
The solution is to get all Russian border nations not allied with russia to make their own mutual defense pact which precludes nukes and NATO allegiance. Russia is unlikely to want total war with all of its euopean neighbors and they lack the ability or will to conquer russia.
Another issue is cultural subversion for the purpose of economic, military, and ethnic subversion
Globohomo culture cancer exists to disarm and enthrall; Putin can't let border nations, especially those speaking the same language and of the same ethnic and cultural roots, fall to this disease which seeks to destroy russia lest the rot spreads into russia.

Any further and they also would be using Euros in Ukraine and it would be over. The biggest kike trick is to get your enemy using your money. Very hard to extract after that.

3. Almost certainly yes. Nordstream 2 coming online means that the petrodollar has genuine competition in the energy market for the first time in almost a century. They couldn't allow it to happen. Germany has shut NS2 down for now due to bad PR. I doubt they want to because it would make them an enormous powerbroker but they don't really have a choice.
4. Yes, they've been rumbling about it for years. I suspect they wanted to kick it off during the Hillary Clinton presidency but then Trump was elected. They kicked off the "russia hacked the election" narrative the moment he won. That was a pre-prepared op.
5. Here's my inkling: The lockdowns were created to massively inflate the money supply in western countries and at the same time drive smallholders out of business. As a result the big boys could step in and snap up any inflation-proof assets they liked, while regular people were locked up at home unable to spend and drive up inflation.
The moment all those financial deals were done, the crisis was over any the media forgot viruses existed. The next phase in the plan is to cover up the inflation/economic crash with a war, so everyone blames Russia rather than blackrock. This will also cause an energy crisis which will be used to justify energy rationing.
After the war, the rationing won't go away. They'll go full global-warming on us and push harder and harder energy rationing tied into social credit and the progressive stack. Eventually you'll have to meme for the government just to keep the lights on.
And hey presto, great reset and global communism.
6. Yes? Everyone involved in this "crisis" is tied to the WEF and similar.

People, in general do (and TRY to predict) what's gonna happen next, due to PAST experience. People LOOK at current intentions and wonder what step 2 will be. They decide, and BLAMO!

"After the Cold War ended, and Germany reunited in 1990, there was a debate in NATO about continued expansion eastward. In 1999, Poland, Hungary, and the Czech Republic joined NATO, amid much debate within the organization and Russian opposition. Another expansion came with the accession of seven Central and Eastern European countries: Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia. These nations were invited to begin membership talks during the 2002 Prague summit, and joined NATO shortly before the 2004 Istanbul summit. Albania and Croatia joined on 1 April 2009, prior to the 2009 Strasbourg–Kehl summit. The most recent member states to be added to NATO are Montenegro on 5 June 2017 and North Macedonia on 27 March 2020."

2. Do some research on how things went for Crimea, after their referendum to join Russia. They were promised a return to Soviet glory, and they ate it up. Look where it got them, even before this war broke out in full. Business gone, infrastructure failing. Nothing but problems. Just like every other region Russia subjugates. Just like the reasons the USSR fell apart in the first place.
The West has gotten infested with wokism and degeneracy. But that is a recent development, and it will not last forever. The prosperity the West brings, however, that has been and will continue to be consistent.
3. Russia oil and gas export is half or more of their entire economy. Having Europe be dependent on them for it also gives them considerable leverage. But there was no need to really worry about Ukraine in this context, since he was getting NordStream2 direct to Germany anyway. That's gone now. Don't think he expected that.
5. February 23rd is "Defender of the Fatherland" day in Russia, where they celebrate their victory in WW2. Starting his "denazification" of Ukraine precisely now has strong symbolic meaning, and hijacks the patriotic spirit that comes with the holiday. Here's Zhirinovsky declaring this is exactly when it would happen back in December '21: https://a.pomf.cat/rnfnfa.mp4
6. NWO/WEF is basically the modern day aristocracy. You will find their strings all over the place, including attached to Putin. Just like in olden times, all the leaders being basically related and part of a club does not preclude the forming of rebels and cliques that end up going for each others' throats. On the contrary, it makes their disagreements and ensuing conflicts more personal to them. The financial system was already on the brink of a crash without this conflict, so it's likely this will push it over the edge. Whether that's the purpose of the conflict, or the opportunity that enabled it, or completely coincidental... your guess is as good as anyone's.
