Whatever God's plan is for the universe, it's clear that it involves a great deal of suffering for living beings: He won't put a stop to any of that shit.

I sometimes joke that the purpose of the universe is to torment conscious beings. Sometimes I'm not sure it's a joke.

If there is a god, he's not too concerned with our well-being. Perhaps he enjoys the videos? The one with them cutting the guys beating heart out and eating it while he screams was pretty bad

That was your job.

The only thing evil needs to thrive is that good men do nothing.

I think the better question is why do we allow it? The very existence of god is questionable. We are undeniably here. If we're not willing to do something about it,why should god?

Much like how no one really believes "black lives matter" cause even the niggers themselves don't act like they do most of the time. If they aren't willing to treat each other with respect,why the hell should the rest of us.

And ultimately,this is why I hate Christianity the most. Jesus says "I'm your shepard",which is great. If you're a sheep. He will protect you,if you submit to his will. Odin? Odin said "that shit ain't right" and got off his throne and put boots to asses. Jesus says "love thy enemy". Odin says "put an axe through his head". And that really is the better example. Don't ask some magical sky daddy to protect you. Get off your ass,get fit,and DO SOMETHING about it. Be the righteous agent of vengeance you claim the world needs.

It's called free will

Some people think God put us here to have a good life... That's contradictory to the Scriptures. We're here in prison, locked in these bodies in space and time to pay for crime we committed in spirit. This is jail, son. And bad stuff happens in jail.

These aren't men. Not even the ones being tortured. Animals can mimic people and even use tools, but they aren't human.

I want to kill these bastards but I remember the story of Joab and Absalom.

King David's son Absalom rebelled, declared himself king, fucked all of David's concubines on the roof of David's palace in full view of the city, and sent men to kill David. So obviously David fought back when he had the chance. As the story goes, Absalom got his long hair knotted up in an oak tree. An unnamed soldier in David's army found him hanging helpless and could have gotten riches plus early retirement by killing Absalom, but in a flash of wisdom he decided against killing the true king's son. Even though Absalom had done about the worst possible thing, he was still the king's son and killing him could bring no good despite what was promised. He told his superiors and it was David's general Joab who killed Absalom. Turns out David actually wanted Absalom's life spared and Joab was out for killing as usual. David never forgave Joab for this and on his deathbead advised his successor Solomon to kill Joab for this plus other murders. So it turns out the unnamed soldier made the right choice.

The most difficult pill to swallow is that all those perps are potentially children of God. Judgment and punishment belong only to Him. If there's a chance someone is still the King's child it is unwise to kill him, and there's always a chance. Sin really is inescapable. Obviously there are circumstances where the temptation to kill is overpowering.

PS. Even killing during self defense is a sin if killing is your intent. The courts see it that way too.
