Yes. Centuries after letting them in and giving them all manner of special freedoms not granted to other foreign groups or even natives, some christian authorities got sufficiently sick of them to expel them for a limited period of time.
Jews being prohibited and expelled from christian countries is the exception rather than the norm though.

For the majority of european christian history jews were given special dispensation to settle, form parallel societies, practice their native religion and granted a monopoly on commerce.
Exactly, they were given a place in society. Prechristian civilisations typically did not give them any place.

Prechristian civilization gave jews a place. The pagan Roman empire was always having trouble with the jews. You say giving the jews a place, how were the jews in Babylon? Who gave them a place there?

You're dodging the point. Jews were the only foreigners given special rights across europe. The fact that they were treated as lower status than christcult members does not erase the fact that christians were the ones inviting them in. Before christianity they had no right to settle in european countries and no significant presence here.
