No reports of use, but apparently they brought out an LRAD yesterday

This and the black uniform team weren't there when I walked past so I can't verify this was today, but I did overhear someone mention it on the day that they had brought one out.

"The Long-Range Acoustic Device (LRAD) is an acoustic hailing device, sound cannon and sonic weapon[1] developed by Genasys. Law enforcement organizations and the manufacturer claim that LRAD systems are primarily designed for long-range communications;[2] however, the device has an extremely high decibel capacity and is controversially used as a less-lethal weapon for crowd control. The Academy of Doctors of Audiology states that 'Individuals exposed to weaponized LRAD use at the 2009 G20 Summit experienced mild traumatic brain injuries, permanent hearing loss, tinnitus (ringing in the ears), eardrum perforation (holes), ear pain, dizziness, and disorientation."

Imagine being a police officer who is employed by taxpayers willing to go to war against the taxpayer for globalist corporate CEOs and their projected profits from communist China, by communizing us.

They die for that and leave their families with nothing, because those pensions will zero out in a few years along with civil "service" pay.

Worry less about China, more about the kikes.

People always reee about the 'communists', because they're a legit threat to their actual communist cuck shithole they've been conditioned to think is the GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD. Even while understanding that since the civil war kikes have been steering the nation, and using it as a heel to stomp any real freedom movement across the globe. What a fucking depressing realization that was. I actually used to think kikes would be our greatest ally considering how many muslims there are, so I can't really blame them. Incidentally, the reason I was able to finally stop ignoring the JQ was because I had ingested so much leftist filth. Change YT men to kikes and all their rhetoric names the jew perfectly.

im curious as to if it works with people who already have hearing loss and tinnitus.

Maybe a protest at the business office

When I was in the Army we occasionally used LRAD aganist angry Iraqi crowds. It was in my experience pretty fucking useless (and we had the big ass one's mounted on a HMMWV). Didn't do shit to the Iraqi's. I think LRAD's effectiveness is way overstated.

Also, if you breath too hard or fart on a LRAD it would break, they were super fragile.

The people threatening citizens with it don't know what it does. They're following dangerous orders, meaning they have no limits to the orders they'll follow.

[ - ] natehiggers 3 points 2.3 yearsFeb 12, 2022 18:34:10 ago (+3/-0)

I imagine they are trained on it's operation and versed in it's effects. Personally after seeing them in action for real I'm not that impressed with their effects (or lack of therefore).

[ - ] yesiknow 2 points 2.3 yearsFeb 12, 2022 19:00:31 ago (+3/-1)

Right... trust the police after they've just showed their allegiance is against democratic freedoms.

They have demonstrated poor judgement in reality, not in words on the internet.

Now you've got people who have to raise their kids to treat the police as a threat and a menace. Those displays are designed to do that and it works.

[ - ] natehiggers 1 point 2.3 yearsFeb 12, 2022 19:04:57 ago (+2/-1)*

I'm not saying trust the police you dolt, I'm saying they are probably aware of the effects of the device.

Also why do you care about democracy, democracy is for faggots.

[ - ] yesiknow 0 points 2.3 yearsFeb 12, 2022 19:27:21 ago (+1/-1)

I said democratic freedoms you moron. You've been reading too many poorly written splurgs on your own kind of tyranny that you aren't getting.

[ - ] natehiggers 1 point 2.3 yearsFeb 12, 2022 19:28:50 ago (+1/-0)

You enjoy that democracy you dumb faggot.

✍ fart on LRADS

Duly noted!

Australia produces the classiest shielas.

I love that

Also, fun fact, if you take a concave surface (like a reversed riot shield) you can use it to reflect the sound back at the source!

Obviously I say this for the sake of the boys in blue in case they accidentally aim it at the riot squad. I'd never want an evil right wing rioter to do so deliberately.

[ - ] Youdgetfuckedfaggot 2 points 2.3 yearsFeb 13, 2022 01:09:13 ago (+2/-0)

I wonder if yours was just defective.. Did you fart on it?

I imagine if you cranked the thing to the tits it would blind someone easily.

[ - ] natehiggers 2 points 2.3 yearsFeb 13, 2022 01:14:01 ago (+2/-0)*

They were constantly fucked up and the only people "authorized" to do maintenance were the private contractor assholes.

Cranking it up all the way would probably make it fry itself.

[ - ] xmasskull 1 point 2.3 yearsFeb 12, 2022 19:22:14 ago (+1/-0)

Soldier at the V.A. said the (one)he/they got was in-op right out of the crate/box. Sound familiar?

[ - ] natehiggers 2 points 2.3 yearsFeb 12, 2022 19:26:38 ago (+2/-0)*

Pretty much, and we had to wait for contractors to install them on HMMWV's and MRAP's. Also all the maintenance on them were done by private contractors.

A range of about 300m for 90bB at 2.5kHz

https://survivallife.com/sound-frequency-weapon/

probably a metal trash can lid in front of the face, heart and lungs would deflect it.

An augmented drone could hit it.

Kek, a tennis ball with holes filled oil or small spikes, shot from an improvised mortar - take a pipe, fill it with gas - swing it around for air, have a small hole for ignition. Place the pipe on a track for aim, insert tennis ball. Fffooomp.

Covered in oil, possibly burning, just stay away from the pipe, it should be in a shielded location.

With a some materials it may be possible to reflect the sound back at them at about 100m,

[ - ] natehiggers 3 points 2.3 yearsFeb 12, 2022 19:31:37 ago (+3/-0)

Shit, good chance the LRAD will crap out on it's own after sustained operation.

Edit: Or do you mean the trash lid would do it?

[ - ] Cantaloupe 0 points 2.3 yearsFeb 14, 2022 20:41:31 ago (+0/-0)

It'd probably work best with a parabolic disk; have to look into materials.

So cardboard posters seem to work

"I've been formally threatened with a lawsuit pertaining to my LRAD video/posts. I have representation and will be defending myself accordingly, but this puts limits on how I can discuss the technology or intent of these devices. Please stay safe in our battle for a better future.
FAQ of sorts for those commenting. I will update if I find anything else useful:
I've tested lots of things outside of this video. Earplugs have little to no effect. Gun range ear protection phones have no effect. Anything sitting on or in your head is unlikely to help much. Plexiglass, absolutely not. Satellite dish was a creative suggestion, although I not only doubt it'd help, but I can't imagine many people carrying around DIRECTV roof dishes all day. :)
Steel or metal shields actually don't work much. The closest thing I have to a theory is that the combination of the vibration of the paper and slight reflection is just right to redirect the modulated signal away from your head. Think of it as finding the sweet spot between absorbing audible sound vibration and block FM radio signal.
When I have some time I may try and setup a wave simulation to get any additional clues. Even outside of this context it's something I really want to get to the bottom of.."

Looks kind of fragile. Can it withstand projectiles?

[ - ] UncleDoug 0 points 2.3 yearsFeb 12, 2022 23:08:16 ago (+0/-0)

That would be right, LRAD is banned for domestic use on American citizens by the American government, here it is encouraged.

[ - ] natehiggers 2 points 2.3 yearsFeb 13, 2022 01:15:41 ago (+2/-0)*

Who told you it was banned, it's not. It's been used by law enforcement here in the US multiple times in the last year only. Capitol police used them on Jan 6 protesters. The county I live in here Florida used them during a mini riot on St.Pete beach last year. They aren't banned at all.

[ - ] UncleDoug 2 points 2.3 yearsFeb 13, 2022 03:44:44 ago (+2/-0)

My mistake as it should be banned as deemed as a violation of 14th Amendment.

Buy copper foil. Solved. Oh wait these aren't even the microwave tanks.
