It was a great day when my mom would buy us boys cap guns when we went to the store. The problem was getting mom to buy replacement rolls of caps. I remember our dog hated those things.

Sometimes I forget that I really am that old. Fucking hell. Being born in the 80s now just seems like a dream for those who have to endure the constant grinding reality of the present.

I once went to a birthday party where we were playing tag with these, and the kid who won climbed a tree and hid near the top. He kept on popping everyone who walked under it. After winning, he climbed down and we all started running around again after we congratulated him by giving him another gun.

Not sure where I got that cap gun from, but I had this. Sometimes the paper got jammed up. I think the paper caps were not as explosive as the ones in the plastic ring, but you could do cooler stuff with the paper ones. I would take a whole roll of the paper ones and hit them with a hammer.
