To the point where failure starts to become more prevalent in the cloud than on a single computer. AWS has had repeated outages this year.
I operate systems in the 'cloud', in high availability clusters, and on single nodes with no kind of failover.
Surprisingly enough, isolated systems have machines with the largest uptime, going on 7 years for a handful scattered around the lowest level of availability.
