Border collies? Or some other similar breed. Smart as can be. My neighbor had a BC, “Jack” who would play frisbee with you. You didn’t play it with him, he played it with you. He could catch it no matter how you threw it. When he got it it he would return to you to deliver it, but would never drop it on command. He would fake you out, pretend to let it go but clamp back down on it. The only way he would let you have the frisbee is if you could time yourself and be quicker than his bite. Fun dog. I miss him.

I had a boarder collie mix that was smart as hell. I could walk him without a leash if i wanted, i could send him out into the backyard to round up the other dogs and he'd circle them in, i could also point a person or thing out to him and sic him on it on command, none of these are things i ever taught him, just things that i tried enough to realize he could do it consistently. He was a cool ass dog. Hated niggers. He did have a problem with biting at people's feet sometimes though, especially on the stairs. He bit a few house guests feet randomly. It was almost always girls that got bit too. lol

Wrong. Different breeds of dogs are engineered through careful selective breeding to excel at different tasks. The handler is of course a factor, but it's hardly a coincidence that all three of these dogs are Border Collies.

And because they're border collies. Border collies are special. I've never owned one but my friend had one. It gained the trust of a mother cat and adored her kittens. The cats lived in a shed and the border collie did nearly all of the mother's work keeping the kittens inside. She would tackle the kittens with her nose and roll them on their backs, then push them back where they belonged. The kittens hated it but the mother watched calmly. That dog would also would circle human children in the living room while they were watching a movie. If anyone walked away she'd try to be in the way but when that failed she'd run to her owner and just get in his face. Wherever he looked, there would be the dog. Like a nagging wife trying to get his attention. She also liked to play fetch and did a similar obsessive nagging where she'd drop some object in front of you and if you moved she'd move the object.

I had a border collie in the suburbs. He was trained with basic commands, sit, stay, come and a few other tricks.

Took him to a farm once and he rounded the sheep up in a circle and kept them in there all by himself, it was very impressive as he'd never seen one before but just knew what to do... kinda. It was pretty annoying though because we were trying to move the sheep into a different paddock and the dog was not trained as a sheep dog and he just wanted to keep them in still in that circle and lost all recall in the excitement, it took me 30 minutes to catch him, I had to leap tackle him in the end.

Yes, it would be more difficult to train a nigger pitbull breed to do this over collies. Still doesnt make the retarded dogs impressive. Without proper guidance those collies would be worthless. The handler isnt just a factor. Hes literally the leader. I could teach fucking ankle biters to do this.

These dogs (and similar breeds) are the right tool for the job from their attention and desire to herd down to the way they walk and hold their heads to mimic predators (wolves) of prey animals (ducks). It's the result of selecting for the desired traits over many generations. A Walmart greeter could be trained to do this, but it wouldn't be as slick or fun to watch. Even a faggot owner of nigger dogs like pitbulls could learn to herd ducks. The owner could, not the dogs.

No one here is under the impression the whistler has nothing to do with it.

Live in New Zealand in the 80s, on one of the 2 TV stations some weekends this was all that was on. NZ sheep dog trials. Two types of dogs, huntaways bark alot, and 'eye' dogs just move around and stare at the sheep.

He can’t be addressing them individually, so they must innately understand how to find and maintain their roll on their own. And his commands must just be directional.

He might be addressing them individually. The first dog seems to be associated with a whistle that has a higher then lower tone. Didn't check closely though.

He’s addressing them all individually. Notice the different whistle tones and phrasing. They don’t innately understand this. They have a genetic proclivity for this behavior and to be trained this way but it takes a lot training.
