For perhaps the dumbest reason of anyone banned. Do you remember that boat that got stuck in that canal a year-ish ago? The companies name, Evergreen, was written in big letters on the ship. The name of the boat was in smaller writing, Evergiven. AOU thought the name of the boat was Evergreen, I corrected him and then was not able to make anymore comments or posts.
It's been awhile since that happened, so if now I got the boat mixed with the company name, my bad. At the time I was 100% correct though.

Honestly I never thought I did anything particularly trollish the entire time I was on Poal. There were certainly more controversial users than me. I did not use alts and I did not harass people. I downvoted very rarely initially, until he put me under that probation/greyed out status and started throttling my comments. Then I stopped downvoting altogether. But it never mattered after that, because for whatever reason he targetted me, and harassed me and lied and tried to insinuate that I was mossad or whatever.

Honestly I never thought I did anything particularly trollish the entire time I was on Poal. There were certainly more controversial users than me. I did not use alts and I did not harass people. I downvoted very rarely initially, until he put me under that probation/greyed out status and started throttling my comments. Then I stopped downvoting altogether. But it never mattered after that, because for whatever reason he targetted me, and harassed me and lied and tried to insinuate that I was mossad or whatever.
Unlike many others, I didn’t leave immediately. I stayed for about 4 or 5 more months. He just kept fucking with my account and making it harder and harder for me to make comments.
You see, I was like you for awhile. I didn’t have any problems for about 4 or 5 months. I saw other users getting penalized and complaining about unfair treatment by AOU. AOU accused them of being bad actors. I didn’t know who to believe but I wasn’t having problems so I just carried on.
Then I had problems. Then I knew it was true.
I don’t know what the pattern is, why he goes after one person but not another. But he is absolutely a liar and a bad dude. If that means anything coming from me. There’s an awful lot of us saying the same thing here. We can’t all be JIDF.

I don't really understand all the hate AOU got. That is typical when owners/mod run a free speech bbs (aka redboard).
