Can I get the ability to delete a sub?

Pretty much the title. I want to delete a sub, I should have that function.

If you no longer want a sub you can transfer it to Mr.Goat. If you really want the sub gone send me a PM and I will consider it. If granted all threads in the sub would be transferred to a different sub.

Good call. I would hate to see threads destroyed in bulk because one user wanted to quit or throw a tantrum.

A user could still go through and delete each post in their sub individually.

And just to be clear here, I can go through and delete every piece of content in the sub but I cant actually eliminate the sub. Because that makes sense.

No. I specifically do not want you to delete anything. It isn't yours to delete. Ill retain ownership of it and remember this though.

I understand it that he wouldn't delete other people's posts in a sub you want to delete. "Send me a pm and I'll consider it" sounds like he wants to make sure it's only your posts in there.

If people commented on your posts & discussions were had in there then I don't feel they should be deleted.

I have avoided the question of why I want to delete the thing because I can't quite put it into words. I want it gone. I don't want to hand it over.

There wasn't any real amount of discussion to save.

I posted the vast majority of the content. When I no longer do, the sub will be dead. There will be no point in its existence. And that is what will happen. It is already dead it just doesn't know enough to lie down.

At this point I have no choice. My hands are tied. The sub will remain open. Ill do nothing beyond deleting illegal content. Someone might post tomorrow morning and then they'll forget it exists and it'll just eat up a sub slot. Which wont matter because I won't create anything new because of the way system handled this request.

I created it I should have the ability to destroy it. I can nuke all the content at will but the empty husk would be forced to remain.

No. No I don't.

I want to destroy a sub I created. I believe everyone should have that right and the tool to do so. No one gets a say in that decision but me. There is no good reason that tool does not exist. I asked for the tool and was rudely told no. If that is the decision I will simply not create new things here.

I havent gone through and nuked all the content. A couple people used the sub this morning, that's fine, although Id rather they not. Ill delete illegal stuff and spam and that's it. Use it on tuesday afternoons if you want.

At no point did I whine.

If system wishes to retain ultimate control over things I created then my response it to not do that anymore. That is his decision.

I was over this last night 5 minutes after system made that decision.

Keep in mind the things you "created" are all part of Systems creation. You might have decorated your room, but you didn't build the house. So stop being a whiny bitch making ultimatums and either fuck off or accept that there's some things you can't change.
