They neglect to tell you in the story that the pilot had a acute case of myocrditis right after he "called the ball" upon apporach, and did whatever he could just to bring it down even though the tower waved him off.

Also, apparently he said, "fucking vaccine" over the radio while trying to put his plane down during a heart attack. He received his booster shot just 3 days prior to this flight.

Yeah.
The US Navy is so fail that back in the 80s when I turned 18 and went into the recruitment office, they turned me down! Guess I was insufficiently faggy or something.

So I started my own navy, but we've had just as many sea battles as the US Navy since then, so... yeah. But shooting shit from the taffrail in international waters is fun, so I guess we have 'training'!

Navy switched to submarine and aircraft carriers - technology driven and dependent ships.

Not sure how knowing how to get the wind gauge and approach in proper battle line is going to help against Russia or china.

A bigger concern is that in lieu of developing modern medium to light artillery, we focused on air power, which, if it came to a ground war, will decimate our troops due to the gap of deficiency of our artillery to Russian.
