When you hear "1911", it refers to a pistol (colt 1911, model 1911, .45 1911, etc). In a nutshell, it is criticized by this generation and beloved by boomers. Boomers are all fatties. That's the joke.

Obviously, everyone would happily add a 1911 from Santa to their collection, and not all boomers are fat.
