300k is enough for a house. 60k down-payment on a 30 year loan with the 240k invested and you can supliment your income while paying off the house. In 30 years sell or refinance to retire to paradise.

I once did some research on people who win the lottery. Read a bunch of articles from various places and they all said the same thing. 90%+ of them always end poor again and a notable percentage end up bankrupt. By the sounds of it, this one is clearly a 90%er.
