I remember the first time I heard about "jewish mysticism" (aka Kabbalah). I thought to myself, "That sounds like fucking witchcraft."

I used to live in the San Diego area in the 1990s. I was never a pagan or a wiccan, but the wife and I had a lot of friends who were. I noticed that there were a LOT of jews among that bizarre community. Some of them are vocal about it and very proud of that intersection. Now that I know more about jews, it makes perfect sense. The neo-Druidic movement came about in the early 1970s by a group of jews in Minnesota and Berkeley.
