Following a user allows you to easily view their posted topics. You can follow a user by clicking the follow button in their profile. Clicking 'Followed' in the subverse category selector in the nav bar (top left, it's set to "all" as default) displays topics from all your followed users. The hot/new/top post filters work for this category (and all categories).

Edit: Ok guys, I hear you. I've added the ability to opt out of this feature, it's in your account options. If you've previously followed me you will have to refollow me because it was lost in the testing of this option.

It was already possible to "follow" a user by blocking them and then going to the block category. This is the same thing except not having to block them. The comments in this thread are amusing. Searchvoat archives every post here, making them undeleteable and easily searchable, removing all your control from your own content and you all love it. But a simple insignificant feature which makes this site a bit more engaging and lose your minds? All your content is easily found in your profile. This changes nothing.

Yes, as far as I know no one has it. When I suggested it at Voat it was shot down. But the Block feature isn't what I want. Which is why it has a different name and characteristics.

I don't really like blocking. The people I block may do something I want to know about. And Block seems to never really work fully. Neri is blocked yet I got that reply. In fact the broken block of old voat was the origin of the invisibility feature.

Don't worry about it. Admins never want to produce useful and functional features. They like Follow, and Blackjack.

I have no problem with this feature. If you want to stalk users without it, you can easily do so by just bookmarking the link to their user page, which shows all the submissions and comments anyways.

But I will never use this feature. Why don't you fix basic features before implementing features that hardly anybody uses or are controversial? And unban ALS and anybody else that got caught up the last time you got butthurt.
